Where: Louisa Macdonald Commemorative Dining Hall, The Women's College, University of Sydney
The Sydney University Medical Society is delighted to present the 13th Annual Marie Bashir Address!
This event is inspired by the accomplished Sydney University Medical Program alumna Professor Marie Bashir. This event provides current students, alumni, faculty and members of the wider healthcare community with an opportunity to appreciate the achievements and contributions of women in medicine.
As in previous years, we are privileged to have Profesor Marie Bashir as our Guest of Honour.
Our keynote speaker will be Dr. Emily Granger MBBS. (Hons) FRACS, cardiothoracic and heart & lung transplant surgeon.
Although it is an event to highlight the accomplishments of women in medicine, we encourage all medical students regardless of gender to attend this event.
The event will be held on the 22nd of August, and will start at 6.15 PM with pre-dinner drinks, followed by a formal three-course dinner at 7 PM.
The evening will include a keynote address and will provide a unique opportunity for staff, students, and wider members of the health community to network with one another whilst celebrating the achievements of women in medicine.
